B.M.A.D. is a program at T.H.A.P. (Tampa Hillsborough Action Plan) for men of color who have sexual and/or loving relationship with other men. We are funded through the CDC (Centers For Disease and Control Prevention). The group encourages people to come out and spend time with others to discuss issues and talk about different topics in a nice social gathering outside of the routine.  Their goal is to help to educate others to make better choices and to provide fun social gatherings where people can meet new people and make new friends other than just at the club, online or at parties.  B.M.A.D. offers FREE & CONFIDENTIAL HIV, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, and pregnancy testing.

The Tampa Bay Business Guild is the Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, serving both sides of Tampa Bay.  The Guild hosts various activities including a monthly networking dinner meeting, an annual Business Expo, and an annual Directory book.

The Tampa Bay Business Guild began over 20 years ago to provide an environment for business owners and local organizations to build an alternative community based on shared goals, friendship trust. The Ybor City Development Corporation (YCDC) is a division of the City of Tampa’s Urban Development Department. YCDC facilitates the development, redevelopment, economic revitalization and general improvement of the Ybor City’s Historic District, its 2 Community Redevelopment Areas (CRAs) and surrounding community. YCDC is the City’s primary vehicle for short and long range planning of the District, administers the Community Redevelopment Plans for Ybor CRA 1 and CRA 2 and their respective Tax Increment Funds (TIF), in accordance with Chapter 163, Florida Statutes. It inventories and coordinates infrastructure improvements, manages the District’s clean team (YES Team), manages the District Ambassador Program, coordinates resolution of community problems/issues and serves as the community’s City liaison for municipal services and special events.
